This past weekend I had the pleasure to visit a friend's family farm in Middleburg, VA and spend an afternoon tasting wine, watching a special Thanksgiving cooking demonstration by Chef Christopher, and enjoying the amazing views and adorable farm animals. I especially fell in love with their white horse that as you can see, just wandered around anywhere he wanted. I'm a Taurus and I just love all things earthy...so this got me thinking about the amazing way fashion has incorporated farms and animals into editorial photography. Below are some of my favorite shots from the farm and some of my favorite editorials featuring the beautiful animal that is the horse.

As a special bonus feature, I wanted to share with you the Hermes SS2011 collection preview featuring...yes you guessed it...non other than horses :) It's a beautiful collection and I'm definitely loving all the amazing pieces, especially the hats!

Great post! That first picture is a trip...looks like the horse is hanging out right in the front yard. I've always loved the equestrian look; such a classic style!
