Hi loves.  Here is a little remix of our last set of photos from NYFW fun!

During our trip, we had the pleasure of attending the GenArt Fresh Faces in Fashion runway show, and we must say, these up-and-coming designers are extremely talented, we were definitely highly impressed.  GenArt, an organization that supports emerging artists in music, film, and fashion, has introduced the world to designers such as Zac Posen, Phillip Lim, Rebecca Taylor, and many more.  I had the pleasure of chatting with Jeffrey Abramson, Co-President of GenArt at the after party and he shared some insights with me about the show.  My main question was the criteria they use to select the designers to show their collections.  Jeffrey had a really simple answer, "we look for up-and-coming designers who already have some sort of established followership, and those who show true potential".  And here I thought it was all from a gut feeling - ha!  He was truly a pleasure to talk to and clearly a person who is extremely passionate about what he does for a living.  After this trip, Carlis and I were once again reminded of why we started this blog in the first place.  Being around people who share your same passion, and to see them succeed at it was inspiring.  We truly believe in the saying "do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life".... but always remember to do it for all the right reasons! ;)
