Somewhere on 14th

on Dec 4, 2011
If you were somewhere in the vicinity of 14th & U Street yesterday around 3:30PM, you would have seen two bloggers wondering around aimlessly looking for a good place to eat while simultaneously trying to work on an outfit post.  Since we were too late for brunch and too early for dinner, we had very limited options.  Who knew it was going to be so hard to find a good place to eat around 3:30PM?  Anyway, after walking up and down the streets in 4 inch heels (ouch!), we were lucky enough to find Standard - a very hip and yummy 'Bavarian biergarten with a southern backyard BBQ flare' type place.  Honestly, it's hard to miss it while walking by because their outside patio is always packed with 'cool kids' munching on hush puppies, fried pickles, and pulled pork sandwiches while washing it all down with a wonderful selection of beers.  Of course, we had to try pretty much everything on the menu and loved it all!  Aside from the sorta rude cashier, we really enjoyed it and it is now one of our new fav spots on U.
After the much needed fuel for the body & soul, we spent the rest of the evening with Carla and Marshall of TPWP and Katherine of LPM going through all of the photos and making final selections for the LPM Holiday Lookbook we shot last week.  It is safe to say, this is the most amazing project we've been involved with to date, and we can not wait to show you the final product.  But don't worry, you won't have to wait long...the final lookbook will be released tomorrow, so stay tuned and be ready to get lost in glam & glitter ;-)

Blazer:  Vintage
Blouse:  H&M
Skinny Jeans:  Joe's
Shoes:  Kimchi Blue
Bag:  Balenciaga
I absolutely love pairing up leopard print with different colors and one of them is purple.  I just love that combination, it's a little less predictable than let's say...red!  So I wore this simple outfit yesterday with my new Kimchi Blue shoes.  I love the chunky heel and good size platform.

Carigan: Forever21
Blouse: H&M
Romper: H&M
Bag: Hand Made in Bolivia
Shoes: Charles Dave
This has to be one of my favorite bags - it was a gift from my aunt in Bolivia. I love the colors and it always spices up any outfit I put together. Since I wanted to keep warm without the need of wearing a big wool coat , I layered my outfit with this cardigan that i bought at Forever21 two years ago. I know its OLD but I can't let it go, its comfy and it makes a good layering piece.
