Last week we had the pleasure of collaborating on a feature with one of our favorite local brands, DeNada -- I mean talk about the perfect knit! Ever since we learned about this exquisite brand from our friends at TPWP (who often shoot their stunning lookbooks) and after getting our first scarves a little while back, which we only take off if it's too warm outside, we've been obsessed... literally obsessed! Virginia Arrisueño is the master mind behind the brand, and we couldn't be happier to support her quickly growing brand. When you have a product of such high quality, it truly speaks for itself. So of course, collaborating on this feature was no brainer for us. We had a lot of fun styling some of our favorite pieces from the collection, in our own way of course, and spending the afternoon at our favorite local coffee shop, Northside social with the DeNada team. A Day At The Farm (NOVA Magazine Feature) - Behind The Scenes

We are so excited to finally be able to share some of our behind the scenes photos from the photo shoot we did for Northern Virginia Magazine spring fashion spread back in January (the only day this winter it actually snowed haha!) The spread is about seven local style bloggers that are in one way or another connected to the Northern Virginia metro area -- who knew all of us had this in common?!  The article highlights who we are, our favorite local NOVA hangout spots, eateries, etc, while showcasing local boutiques through our unique styles.  This project was a really fun one for us because we were in great  company with our blogger friends Katherine, Carla, Alejandra, Ashley and photographer Marshall and had the pleasure of enjoying an unforgettable weekend on Marshall's "farm" ;)

Inspiration - Peony Lim

We have a major "blogger crush" on blogger/stylist/photographer Peony Lim!  Her outfits are incredibly feminine, chic, and with just the right amount of funk.  Oh and it also doesn't hurt that she's absolutely stunning.  For more inspiration, check out her blog HERE!

On a side note, we were extremely thrilled to be featured in the Washingtonian online style section a few days ago - check out the full article HERE!  We are happy to know that the LPM lookbook had amazing reviews and so many people were inspired by it.  So if you loved the LPM lookbook, you'll love some of the other projects we have coming up very soon even more...so def stay tuned!!!

History Revamped

After a few very long months of indescribable anticipation ... we are finally so excited to share our latest project with NOVA magazine!  We were truly honored and humbled to be featured in the spring fashion spread "History Revamped" in next month's April 2011 issue.  This truly was an unforgettable experience... and so much fun!  A special "thank you" to all the wonderful local boutiques for the amazing pieces we were able to incorporate into our looks.

This issue is also extra special because we were able to style and photograph all of the pieces as well as select the location of the shoot. These photos were taken at the exact place where we started our adventures a little over a year ago, in Old Town, Alexandria. We have been residents of NOVA for over 15 years now, so this issue is very meaningful to us - it combines our love for fashion, photography, and our hometown all in one.

In addition to the photos that were selected for the feature, we will also share some of our favorites as well as some behind the scenes photos throughout the week ... so definitely come back and check them out!
