Beauty: My #HCLook

on Dec 15, 2014

As most of you know I love a good blowout, I mean what girl doesn't right?! When Hair Cuttery approached me to be part of their #MyHCLook campaign, I was thrilled to say yes. I just recently got a hair cut so a good blow out to go along with a new cut was exactly what I needed. Hair Cuttery was actually my go to spot in my 20's. It was quick, inexpensive and the perfect solution for a 20 year old on a serious budget. For this campaign, I visited their DC location which is not very big or fancy but they have all the tools needed to provide the services you may be looking for.

A few things to keep in mind: Hair Cuttery does not take appointments. Also, the price listed online for a blowout is $20, but it is subject to change depending on your hair type. Sadly I realized that later when the price for my thick and wavy hair went up from $20 to $40. Don't get me wrong, I have paid $40 for a blowout in the past but the $40 price tag also included a fancier and more relaxing environment, a style book, and a glass of mimosa (or two). I guess you can say that I'm a little spoiled by the new blow out bars in town. So even though Hair Cuttery supplied me with a $50 gift card to try their services, I didn't think $40 was a fair price to pay for a simple shampoo/ blow out. However, LaKresha Mitchell (the salon leader) completely understood my concerns and was kind enough to give me a blowout at the price that was advertised online. She was nice, helpful and most importantly she provided me with great costumer service. I would recommend Hair Cuttery for those of you who are looking for a quick blowout without all the extra fancy on the side, just make sure you're able to take advantage of the lower $20 price. And as a side note: My favorite Hair Cuttery location is in Springfield Town Center -- it's brand new and super cute

LaKresha did not use a curling iron to curl the ends of my hair! She was so good with that round brush!
