District Closets: Q&A w Kelley and Stephanie of StyleSmiths
Aside from being incredibly stylish and gorgeous, these sisters are also sweet. We are totally digging their chic outfits and can't wait to go through all the pieces they will be bringing to District Closets!
1. How would you describe your personal style?
Our personal style aesthetic revolves mostly around quality - if something is well made, beautifully tailored, and in a gorgeous fabric, we're usually sold! We gravitate towards feminine pieces in classic styles with modern twists.
2. How does DC inspire your day-to-day style?
DC inspires our day-to-day style to be slightly more polished than we would dress if we lived in a city like LA or NY.
3. What are some of your favorite places to shop in the DC metro area?
Georgetown as a whole offers great shopping, and we also like well-curated local boutiques such as Swoon and ANTHOM.
4. You have the closet that any fashionable girl would die for, what are your wardrobe staples?
Strappy black shoes (Sophia Webster, Stuart Weitzman, Carrano, and Schutz have great options), plunging necklines (Cameo, Finders Keepers, and Bec & Bridge construct some great pieces that still give support!), structured classic jackets (Smythe), dark wash jeans (partial to J Brand and DL1961), flowy dresses (Stone Cold Fox and Reformation make some of our favorites), and basic tees (Splendid, Six Twenty and Everlane have some great ones)!
5. Can you give us little hints about what we can expect to see from your collection of pieces at District Closets?
A blend of feminine and classic, for the lady with a diverse lifestyle from work, to play, to travel.
Sip mimosas while you go through all the amazing items these ladies will bring to #DistrictClosets this Sat! A braid bar provided by Luigi Parasmo Salon will also be available to get you ready for a fun evening! RSVP HERE!
