An Afternoon at Chrysalis Vineyards

on Nov 27, 2011
You gotta love when Mother Nature blesses you with upper 60 degree weather on a late November afternoon.  It's like a very bitter-sweet way to say goodbye to fall and welcome the upcoming colder days of winter, but we'll definitely take it!  As you can see, we took full advantage of the warm weather and headed over to our favorite VA vineyards and tasting room, Chrysalis.   Their grounds are beautiful and wines are delicious.  Our two favorites are the sweet, 100% Norton grape Sarah's Patio Red and the crisp and aromatic Sarah's Patio White (we had a bottle of each along with some yummy cheeses, french baguette, and prosciutto).  We ended the afternoon with a tour of the grounds where we saw some very happy cows, free range chickens, and other farm animals!

Happy Cyber Monday to all -- let us know if there are any spectacular deals out there we should be aware of :)

Cardigan: Forever 21
Hat: Forever 21
Tunic: TJ Maxx
Skirt: Missoni For Target
OTK Boots: Report
Lipstick: Mac (Morange)

"In this post I'm wearing one of my fav leopard print hats.  I have a lot of hats, but this one usually adds the wild factor in my otherwise simple outfit :)  I'm also wearing my see through, romantic tunic but since the weather is not exactly 70 degrees (well more like 60 but it's still fall) I thought to pair it up with my Missoni for Target skirt underneath. I love how the colors showed through the tunic and it also kept me warm." Carlis

"I decided to go with a very simple but comfortable outfit yesterday.  I knew we would be lounging around on the grass all afternoon, so I wore my comfi AA skirt and warm Elizabeth and James sweater.  I kept the colors earthy in order to blend in with the organic feel of the beautiful Chrysalis grounds and vineyards.  Oh and as you can probably already see, I'm obsessing over my Dolce Vita booties lately.  They are soooo comfortable and fun, I just can't seem to take them off!"
