Ian McCabe Studio

Last Wednesday we had the pleasure of visiting the Ian McCabe Studio which just opened in July on 23rd Street. We are always interested in discovering new places that have that "it factor" and hair studios are on the very top of that list. When deciding where we want to get our services done, we look for the type of place that incorporates elements that are important to us like welcoming and comfortable design and decor (after all you may be spending hours in the place), a team of knowledgeable and experienced staff who understand your needs, great techniques, and of course someone who can make us look our absolute fabulous! This is exactly the experience we had last week. From the moment we walked in and saw the beautiful Chanel books spread out on wooden stools, to receiving a perfect latte while getting our services done, to the moment we walked out with perfect color and blow outs, we knew this was going to be a new favorite!

As far was what we had done: Katya had her first (but definitely not the last) gloss treatment and a perfect blow out with some waves by Isabel who also happens to be the sweetest person ever! Originally I went in wanting to get full on highlights, but after a consultation with Jess (the colorist at Ian McCabe salon) she convinced me that I needed to take care of evening out my color first. I really appreciated the fact that she was honest and suggested I gradually take my color a little lighter. The end result was a beautiful, even brown color. I LOVED it! We plan to visit Ian McCabe studio again very soon …. they definitely got our #SCDCloves approval!
