Sweater: Wild Fox
Booties: BCBG similar here
Bag: Balenciaga
Sunnies: RayBan
Ok so I will be honest, I packed about five pair of shoes for NYFW but most of the time (well ok 95% of the time) I wore my new favorite pair of BCBG booties I got at 60% off literally the day before we left (yes I did say 60%!). I have been looking for a perfect pair of booties all winter, but I'm soooo glad I waited because these are seriously the best. Not only do I love the leather/suede combo and that spectacular, metallic heel, but despite them being about 4+ inches, I was able to wear them morning til night, and then at after parties too, and my feet held out. It really is a miracle, and I thank BCBG for perfectly engineering this amazing fashion week accessory. Oh and don't even get me started on both the BCBG and Herve Leger Fall 13 collections... seriously obsessed! But more on that later in the week.  I also can't get enough of this super chic and comfi Wild Fox sweater. Aren't the rips and print so cool? I guess that's what you can expect of Wild Fox. They rock!

Coat: Worn Abroad
Silver Jacket: Zara
Jeans: Macy's
Shoes: T.J Maxx
Bag: Urban Outfitters
Scarf &Sunnies: H&M
When putting my outfits together for NYFW I knew they had to be warm so I basically did a lot of layering the entire time. I also knew that we were going to do a lot of walking so I packed my favorite wedge boots which can be worn with a casual or dressy outfit.

Thanks DryBar for making our hairs look perfect for our first day during our NYFW stay  ;)

We couldn't think of a better way to start our five day trip to NYC for NYFW this past Wed than with an afternoon of rest and relaxation in prep for the madness that followed the next four days -- snow blizzard and all! Our amazing friends at Glam had this absolutely brilliant idea of pampering all of us with DryBar blowouts, perfect 10/10 manicures, and of course yummy food, champagne, and goodie bags that included some awesome fashion week accessories and necessities. The best part of it all was spending that much needed girly time with some of our lovely blogger BFFs Natalie and Sara. Thank you Glam ladies. You seriously are the best!

PS: Make sure you check out our VINE for clips of our adventures during NYFW. ;)

I met my style icon! I'm one Happy GAL!
FNO in New York City can get pretty crazy, pretty quickly! so to avoid massive crowds we decided to stay in one place and attend the VIP Ferragamo party. We had a great time but the best part was bumping into Miroslava Duma, she took my breath away as expected! ;)
I obviously had too much fun since taking pics was no longer a priority at some point of the night.....WELP! LOL

NYFW Outfit #1

Blazer:  Vintage Silk Ellen Tracy
Pants:  Vintage Leather
Cut off T:  American Apparel
Bag:  Botkier
Necklace:  Vintage
Booties:  Trouve
Our first day of NYFW was actually the least cold day of all (well during the afternoon at least), so I took advantage of it by wearing pastels and going without a coat.  I absolutely love my new 'Valentina' Botkier bag so I planned most of my outfits around this new staple in my wardrobe.  It sure got a lot of love from street style photographers and even the VP of Botkier himself :)  I think everyone really loved the color.  Its's so fun!

Trench: Banana Republic
Jeans: Indigo Rein
Purse & Hat: Vintage
Wedges: SMU
Necklace: She's Unique
This outfit was planned around my vintage hat! I decided to go for the comfy kind of masculine look this time, but to keep the outfit on a less serious side, I wore my fav hot pink jeans and this soft pink button down shirt.  This was NOT my originally planned first NYFW outfit, but due to the fact that Carlis forgot the most important piece of her outfit back in DC, I had to work with what I had lol.  Hope you guys like it and please ignore my tired face! 10 Things we leaned about traveling to NYFW during February:

  1. Pack smart, light, but also bring enough to be comfortable with in case of a fashion emergency
  2. Bring lots of basics and pieces you can layer with
  3. Bring your staple pieces in case you're not happy with your originally planned outfits (we all know it's hard to plan ahead and moods can change)
  4. Bring FLATS to change into (your feet will thank you), but if you forget, there is always Kmart fashion to the rescue.  We definitely had to tweet at them with "please save our feet, we need flats #fashionweekproblems" - and yes, they will come anywhere you are and your flats will be free!
  5. It WILL get cold in February no matter how much we think global warming is a real thing, so bring a coat or two that you can use with all outfits as well as hats, gloves, and other winter gear
  6. Bring a bag that will fit your camera or a cute camera bag that will go well with your looks -- Andy's Kipling bag is a perfect example
  7. Get enough rest before you arrive because you will NOT have time to sleep, have a real meal, or anything else that is not FW related
  8. Take full advantage of everything FW has to offer aside from the shows.  Lounges and after parties are almost as much fun as the shows ... almost
  9. Network, network, network
  10. Remember to take it all in and have fun!!!

PS:  Aside from what we wore to NYFW, we will also be posting fun street style and our fav designer collection/runway looks, videos, and more -- so definitely check back for more updates all week!
