We loved Natalie's earthy mix of gray & tan.

Actually, to think of it, we loved all of Meg's accessories... they perfectly complimented her casual chic look.

Every woman should probably own "the shirt", it's hidden button concept is revolutionary and ohhhh so practical!

We were definitely lusting after Urban Chic's stunning statement necklaces

This Hibiscus + Prosecco combo was our favorite drink of the evening. We each took a jar of these delicious flowers home. They add such a fun twist to any champagne cocktail!

Sip & Shop (hosted by Early Mountain Vineyards and Urban Chic) was probably one of the best blogger events we've attended this year. The concept of a blogger "field trip" mixing wine, shopping, breathtaking views, and lots of photo ops is absolutely brilliant! It was a perfect occasion for us to experience the newly re-opened Early Mountain Vineyards (a must visit!!!), check out Urban Chic's fall styles (we absolutely loved the accessories and statement necklaces), and taste some of VA's most delicious wines! We can't wait to come back and visit again...this time for an entire day. Something tells us that part II of this blogger field trip is already in the making ;)

Hobo Fall '12 Preview Party

We had so much fun at the Hobo Fall '12 Preview Party! Their first flagship store in Annapolis is really beautiful and the bags are seriously adorable and extremely well-made. We wish we took more photos but we were too busy talking to the sweet HOBO ladies and admiring all the carefully designed details in the store. If you are ever in Annapolis, this is a MUST place to visit. We look forward to going back very soon and also collaborating with them in the near future. South Moon Under Event + My Winning Look

Hi loves! As you know I participated in the South Moon Under and Refinery29 Holiday Styling contest a few weeks ago. The winner was announced at their party last Thursday and I was fortunate to win first place .. yay!! I seriously did not expect to win because I have never won anything in my life, so it was def a nice surprise. All the other participants had great outfits as well so I'm sure it was a tough choice for the judges. I styled my outfit at the South Moon Under/Clarendon location and my blogger friend Alejandra was sweet enough to take my photos that day. I was happy to know she also made the finals and won 3rd place. When styling this look, I wanted this holiday outfit to be fun, comfortable and not too overdone with glitter and sparkle. I opted for this comfortable vegan leather skinny pants with a zipper on the sides, a silk green blouse to stay in the holiday spirit and a classic Tuxedo blazer! I love hats so I knew I needed to incorporate this 'must have' accessory into my look so I chose this burgundy fedora hat that really gave my outfit the much needed fun twist! It was tough to pick out the right shoes but when I saw the sparkly pumps, I knew it was the missing piece I was looking for to complete my Holiday party look.
I want to give a BIG 'THANK YOU' to all my friends and readers who voted for my outfit. I'm super excited to go back to South Moon Under and use my $300 certificate so that I could create more outfits to share with all of you! Also another big thank you to Taylor and Michelle from South Moon Under for being incredibly sweet and for doing such a great job at putting such a fun event together for all of us in the DMV.

Bloggers Night Out

We had a fantastic time at Bloggers Night Out on Wed evening at the Bloomingdales in Chevy Chase - the turn out was great. Of course it's no surprise to see so many of our local bloggers supporting more and more of these types of events. It's always a great excuse to meet new people, catch up with old friends, and talk fashion over cocktails. Check out some of our favorite picks from the gift guide below.
