Worn Magazine Issue 4 & Fall Giveaway!

This past Sunday we had the pleasure of attending the Worn Magazine Issue 4 launch party to celebrate its return to DC and the launch of Issue 4 + Worn Abroad. We have been big supporters of Worn these past few years (it is at their last party where we met our dear friend Katherine of LPM and realized we weren't alone in this DC blogging community.... oh my that feels like ages ago!) so we were truly excited to know Nicole and Eric were back and now even bigger and better than ever! Congrats to them both on such a fantastic issue filled with great stories and of course, stunning photography. We also want to congratulate all the other incredibly talented contributors of this issue like our dear friend Caroline Lacey of The Concubines and Marshall and Carla of TPWP. This is by far the best issue to date! DC fashion is still a growing and ever changing landscape and having Worn return to DC is yet another sign that there is a place here in our city for the truly talented, creative, and positive people who focus on content, individual style, and the art of fashion!

Spicy Candy DC + South Moon Under Video Lookbook

We are so excited to finally be able to share our South Moon Under video lookbook with all of you! We decided to take this lookbook back to where South Moon Under started -- Ocean City MD. It was so much fun working on this project and part of it was due to the amazing team we had with us! So a big THANK YOU to Marshall and Carla of TPWP for shooting the video and capturing exactly what we wanted and for the quality of your photos.  Also to the W salon team for such great hair and makeup but most importantly, for helping us keep warm in what seemed to be 30 degree weather (yea just because we look warm in the video, doesn't mean we were lol "bloggers turned actresses lol" Finally, we can't say enough good things about the SMU interns...you guys rocked! Not only did they help us get our outfits together before the shoot but they were also a HUGE help to the photographer Marshall and to us.  And of course, this project would not have been possible if it wasn't for Taylor (the amazing marketing mastermind of South Moon Under) -- thank you for believing in us! Stay tuned for the release of the photos and if you're in the area, definitely join us on April 12th!

A Day At The Farm (NOVA Magazine Feature) - Behind The Scenes

We are so excited to finally be able to share some of our behind the scenes photos from the photo shoot we did for Northern Virginia Magazine spring fashion spread back in January (the only day this winter it actually snowed haha!) The spread is about seven local style bloggers that are in one way or another connected to the Northern Virginia metro area -- who knew all of us had this in common?!  The article highlights who we are, our favorite local NOVA hangout spots, eateries, etc, while showcasing local boutiques through our unique styles.  This project was a really fun one for us because we were in great  company with our blogger friends Katherine, Carla, Alejandra, Ashley and photographer Marshall and had the pleasure of enjoying an unforgettable weekend on Marshall's "farm" ;)

Spicy Candy DC for South Moon Under Lookbook

We are so happy to finally share a really exciting projects we've been keeping under wraps for a few months now -- our collaboration with South Moon Under on their first ever blogger styled lookbook!  The decision to collaborate on this project was no brainer for us because we have been HUGE fans of South Moon Under for a long time now.  Their support of our DMV blogger community and super chic selection of merchandise completely won us over.  So when Taylor (the amazing marketing mastermind of South Moon Under) approached us with the possible idea of a collaboration, we were thrilled!  After a few email exchanges and endless ideas on how to execute this lookbook, we decided to take it back to where it all started for their brand -- Ocean City, MD. We fell in love with their story and decided to create a lookbook that represents the fun, free-spirited, chic essence of SMU while simultaneously showcasing our unique personal styles.  In other words it's how we would style, wear, and channel South Moon Under on any given day....except with a little more flare and funk (it is a lookbook shoot after all)!!!


Of course, delivering a product of this magnitude is no easy task ... so to ensure our creative concept comes alive the same way we picture it in our heads, we had to call one of the best photographers in town (who also happens to be one of our really good friends), Marshall Johnson of TPWP.  We know that his skill + our creative energy and passion for what we do will result in a lookbook we will be proud to present to you and South Moon Under on March 19th!  


Definitely stay tuned this weekend as we will be releasing our first video teaser of this collab (shot by Marsahall) and of course do expect us to go insta crazy via twitter  -- who doesn't love some behind the scenes action!?  Finally, a huge huge huge 'thank you' to all of our readers and blogger friends for you constants support, and to South Moon Under for believing in us and for giving us the creative freedom to do what we love doing most.  We LOVE you guys!
