I was so excited to attend the Emporium DNA grand opening party last Thursday. The store is beautiful and full of amazing merchandise from so many different brands & international designers such as Rebecca Minkoff, Yumi Kim, Alice + Olivia, MinkPink and much more! I was also very impressed with their awesome shoe selection which I might as well call shoe heaven! I left the store with a very long wish list that I can't wait to share with you in our currently craving section.

The store is located at R Street and Connecticut Avenue NW, Dupont Circle and it's metro accessible. Emporium DNA also has 3 other locations in Atlantic City, Chicago and Vegas!

SCDC Events: Blo Blow Dry Bar Launch Event

I recently had the pleasure of attending the Blo Blow Dry Bar launch event in Dupont.  The owner Maha Sharma was in attendance along with host TV personalty and fashion designer Whitney Port and both of them looked AMAZNG!!

When I arrived I was happy to see some wonderful familiar faces!!

Carla Sanchez enjoying the Veuve Clicquot Rose Champagne with Tammy Preston of A Loyal Love, Sara Azani of Style MBA and Natalie Pinto of The Fashionably Broke!! Around 100 fashionisa from around town were in attendance to support the opening and dancing to the tunes of DJ Biks!!

The concept of Blo was prominently displayed and I understand what they mean.

Sometimes you just need a wash and blow dry to get you through between hair appointments.  Blo is North America's original blow dry bar that began back in 2007.  Scissors and dyes will not be found at Blo because no cuts or color is allowed.

Just Wash Blow and Go with on of the 7 styles featured on the menu from the sexy razor-straight “Executive Sweet” to the inner femme-inspired curly “Holly Would”.  All the menus are these adorable pink books that explain everything you need to know about Blo!

Which makes it easy to pick out a style like these beautiful waves getting checked out by Nicole of Worn Creative.

And her KILLER shoes!!  The event also kicked off a week-long partnership with the Washington Humane Society. From March 22 to March 29, the bar will donate 25% of proceeds from every service to the charity.

Yes 25% is right!! A very generous way to start so hurry in and give them a try!!

She's Unique Turns 2

This past Sunday I had a total blast celebrating BFF's boutique - She's Unique - 2nd year anniversary!  Katya and I had so much fun planning this event together. We both knew that we wanted to serve mimosas so we decided to spice things up with a mimosa bar that included a mix of juices like guava and passion fruit + berries for garnish. We also served small brunch bites all made from scratch thanks to our food/entertaining contributor and good friend Jessica. For the small details, Katya found vintage champagne glasses from a local thrift store and we did lots of DIYs like the chalk board frames, photo props, and gift name tags.

All of the guests enjoyed an afternoon of sipping, shopping and also playing with fun photobooth props (as shown in the above photo). We are very thankful to everyone who celebrated this special day! We can't wait to plan more fun gatherings like this one in the near future!

I had so much fun at the Nuit Blanch DC Event. The event took place The Wonder bread factory.

I love art events in our city, the vibe is always a positive one and it's just nice to see the all artists express their passion by doing what they know best.

Chevy Chase Pavilion Grand Re-Opening

So yeah! these yummy chocolate treats were also included in our swag bags, I seriously almost shed a tear when finishing mine! , I WANT MORE!!! 

Last Thursday I had the pleasure to be invited to the re-opening of the Chevy Chase Pavilion,  It was my first time ever visiting this mall and it was def a great first experience. The event started on their lower level atrium in which guest had the opportunity to mingle while sipping on some bubbly and yummy appetizers, they also had a DJ which made the event extra fun.  They eventually invited all the guest to enjoy an amazing dinner at Chef Bryan Voltaggio's restaurant Range, I think I'm still full from all the amazing food they kept on bringing, this also might be my new favorite oyster spot! The after party took place at Civil Cigar Lounge where at this point my partner in crime for the night Morgan and I were full, feeling good and ready for a nap. Thanks Chevy Chase Pavilion for such an amazing event, super excited to come visit again. For more photos of this event click HERE!
