Birthday Brunch

on Jun 15, 2010
This year we decided to celebrate Carlis' Bday in two parts: dinner in DC and brunch in NYC because we all know there is no brunch like the NY brunch! The madness started at our favorite spot Nero with bottomless mimosas, delicious food, and a an amazing banana creme brûlée....followed by an insane celebration at Bagatelle where we danced, cheered, and met some great new NYC friends! I think it's safe to say that the birthday girl had the time of her life and I'm glad we were there to enjoy the ride :) Stay tuned for post #2 tomorrow. Thankfully we were recovered from our champagne diet and able to capture all the beauty NYC streets have to offer!!!

Chictopia 10 - NYC Day 1

on Feb 15, 2010

Chictopia. 10 summit in NYC was a total blast! We got to meet so many amazing people, including some of our favorite bloggers (Liz from Late Afternoon, Tahrid, and many more). These girls are a true inspiration! Not only do they have some of the most amazing and unique styles...but they are also genuine and very very sweet.
These are the photos from the first day...not going to lie, we were definitely a little exhausted from the four hour drive, but still managed to capture how much fun it was. Wish you could all have been there...

It was great to meet so many people who support the blogger industry. Best quote of the day: "for the first time in history, fashion is not dictated solely by the few on the top of the pyramid..we can influence fashion from the bottom up by creating our own individual styles and inspiring others" - Naomi Mevitt, former teenvogue.com fashion blog editor

NYC Love

on Feb 3, 2010
The winter forecast for our DC metro area this year is: snow, snow and more snow...and all on the weekends :( So with that said, we can't wait to get out of here and visit the one city in this world that makes our hearts skip a beat :) Next weekend we are attending the Chictopia 10 conference in NYC! Super excited to meet all of the bloggers, fashionistas, and Editors from Teen Vogue, The Wall Street Journal, Nylon, Vice, and The New Yorker! It's going to be amazing to spend a weekend surrounded by people that love all of the same things that we live for!!!
Hope all of you have something sweet planned for V-day and spend the weekend with someone you love or doing something you love doing!

Above are some of the things we look forward to the most when we get to play in our favorite city: street art, street style, drinks on the Gansevoort rooftop, shopping in Soho and meat packing, mini big macs at STK, bottomless mimosas at Nero, walking through central park, and of course...people watching. There is nothing more exciting in this world than the streets of NYC ;)
