Tuesday marked an important milestone in DC fashion -- it was the one year anniversary party of CapFABB!  Liz, Lacey and the rest of the leadership team did a wonderful job putting an elegant event together at Cities Restaurant sponsored by H.Bloom.  We really enjoyed the DIY flower bar and got a little carried away with the photo booth ;)  It was wonderful to hear everyone congratulating Liz and Lacey on their success (as if it were their wedding haha) and thanking them for starting this type of community for all of us to be part of.  It is hard to believe we've only been members for a little less than a year because the friendships we have made already feel like a lifetime.   Cheers to all of us "CapFABBers" to another year of great events, fashion, photos, and fun moments together!

When bloggers get together for an event, it becomes this whirlwind of fashion, photography, collaboration discussions, business card exchanges, up close accessory shots, and all of this happens while you're trying to hold your purse, sip on champagne, and take random photos at the same time -- no easy task if you ask me.  Last night's CapFABB event at Madewell in Georgetown was no exception.  We were glad to meet some of the newest members of our quickly growing group (welcome all), catch up with old friends, and of course, make plans for more fabulous meet ups.  Being a blogger most certainly has its perks, but the best one of all is having these opportunities to meet interesting, stylish, creative people who share your same passions - each new friendship opens up a new world of possibilities, and we love every minute of it!

Last night we attended another fabulous CapFABB blogger meet up at the new Nectar Skin Bar on Wisconsin Ave, Georgetown.  As always, it was great mingling with familiar faces, meeting new DC bloggers, sipping on Voli (new low cal vodka) cocktails, and of course snapping lots of photos to share with all of you.  We are just amazed at the speed that our DC fashion blogging community is growing and are so proud to show that our city's got style!  The owner of Nectar spoke to us about the concept of the establishment, the unique products they carry, and all of their services (we're particularly interested in mani/pedi parties & the fabulous eyebrow specialist they have on staff!)  definitely going back for a pampering session asap.
