InStyle For Nine West Collection

The InStyle for Nine West Spring 2014 collection was launched last Friday on their website as well as in all of the US Nine West Stores including DC. My Friend Tammy of A Loyal Love and I decided to check out the collection ourselves and take notes of some of our fave items and also enjoy a fun afternoon of shopping and catching up. We picked the Nine West in Georgetown as the point of meet up.

The first thing I noticed when viewing the collection was how well made each pair was. Ryan was kind enough to bring out each style in our sizes so we could also feel how comfortable they were! I rapidly went searching for "Mahla" The Polished Wedge! And let me tell you, it did not disappoint! This style comes in three basic colors and the wedge is high enough to give you the lift you need without the discomfort that comes with a really high wedge.  I also love that the side buckle is covered by the strap - Fancy!

Tammy is wearing the sexy Gamin pump! I love the cutaway arch, it's what makes it stand out from your every day basic pump. It comes in olive canvas, red leather, black leather and my personal favorite, the faux snakeskin print.

The second pair I really liked was the slingback name Aila. Very feminine and I'm totally digging the asymmetrical cut. The white pair is currently on my wish list but something tells me I'll end up with all three.




How cute is this clutch along with this statement bracelet in Hamaite Metal! The clutch was designed to make sure you are able to fit all of your essentials. It comes in pebbled white, blue and black. It's so easy to carry and most important I find this clutch very versatile.

This Nine West 9W♥InStyle capsule collection is their second one after their fall collaboration which was a total success and one I sadly MISSED OUT ON which totally depressed me for a few minutes! HOWEVER I'm very happy Nine West was kind enough to provide me with an early introduction to this collection that I'm now thrilled to share with all of you!

Say HELLO to my favorite winter coat! If you follow me on instagram you know how excited I felt when I found it at Marshalls ;) It's  actually warm and since I'm only 5'3 its the perfect size for my petite frame.

Tweed Ride Photo Shoot Preview

When we received a preview of these amazing photos of the Tweed Ride Shoot, we immediately knew we had something very special to show our readers.  This collaboration between some of DC's most talented creatives is yet further proof that partnerships yield even more incredible products and inspiring images.  We ran into the creative director of photography for this shoot, Kate Warren of GoKateShoot.com last night at the "Future of DC Fashion" event and learned first-hand about how much fun it was to gather all of these incredibly talented and beautiful women and just "have fun with it".  We strongly believe that the emotions of a project/shoot are easily translated and felt by their audience, and in this case, we can tell these ladies had a blast while doing what they love.  Congrats to all!
