Tweed Ride Photo Shoot Preview

When we received a preview of these amazing photos of the Tweed Ride Shoot, we immediately knew we had something very special to show our readers.  This collaboration between some of DC's most talented creatives is yet further proof that partnerships yield even more incredible products and inspiring images.  We ran into the creative director of photography for this shoot, Kate Warren of GoKateShoot.com last night at the "Future of DC Fashion" event and learned first-hand about how much fun it was to gather all of these incredibly talented and beautiful women and just "have fun with it".  We strongly believe that the emotions of a project/shoot are easily translated and felt by their audience, and in this case, we can tell these ladies had a blast while doing what they love.  Congrats to all!

The stunning Dana, designer behind ARTAYA wearing one of her dresses.  We absolutely love the minimalist design and fun print.  Her inspiration for this line is "A Foreign Love Affair" -- how cool is that?

Dana also designs paper jewelry -- this ring is amazing...want, want, want!!!

We found this little guy parked outside and absolutely HAD to include him in our photo shoot :)  

Last night we attended the ReadysetDC Fashion: District designer meet & greet at The Dunes, and mingled among some of DC's best designers, models, bloggers, photographers, and other creative brains.   It was also great catching up with our friends of TPWP -- we bonded over a an amazing bottle of pinot noir at the Blue Duck Tavern earlier this week and it's been "blogger's love" ever since ;)  We can't wait to share some of our amazing collaboration plans later this year.  So needless to say, it's always a pleasure when we run into the talented Carla & Marshall, especially since they have been involved with ReadysetDC: District since their inception a few years ago and shared a lot of insider knowledge with us about the designers, the ReadysetDC team, and the runway show itself.  Unfortunately we will not be able to attend tonight's runway show due to a scheduling conflict, but by the looks of it, it's going to be amazing!  Speaking of which, we'll be attending the TPWP hosted Redeem 5 year anniversary party event tonight from 6:30-9:30, so if you're a Washingtonian and interested in attending, you can register HERE.
